Let me introduce myself…My name is Andre “The Upholstery Guy” Kellam,  located 9250 Rippard Ave, Norfolk, VA. I specialize in Auto, Marine, Furniture Upholstery and Repair. I’d like to start by giving you a a reason or two to consider having your furniture reupholstered versus buying new.  Landfills are full of old furniture nowadays and for those of us wanting to go “Green“, you can do your part by not adding to the problem.

If the frame is still sturdy, why not pick out the color of material you actually wanted when you bought it (but wasn’t available in that selection)?  Lots
of time when we buy furniture we pick from the limited colors available and wish we could find the exact color or design we want.  And you don’t have to stick to the same design.  A sofa that takes 3 or more people to lift is most likely a piece of furniture you should keep and have reupholstered.  Surely you don’t expect today’s furniture to last like those of yester year, do you? Reupholstery is
environmentally friendly and offers many custom choices to design and style.

The next time you’re in a thrift store or at a garage sale, imagine that piece of furniture in the color you want and how nice itwill  fit in your home, then give me a call and let’s make it happen. There are times I’m not sure who’s happier, me or my customers. I enjoy the field of upholstery and the satisfied look (and sometimes surprised look) of my customers.
